Class Analytics: A new Class page provides clear and actionable metrics for managing your classes, including Classes by Grading Status, Classes by Instructor, Classes by Course, Class Availability, Class Details, and more.

HealthStream is enhancing HealthStream Video Basic, Video Plus, and Video Complete video players with an updated version. Benefits of these updates include:

Faster load and start times: Videos will begin playing more quickly and with greater stability, ensuring a smoother learning experience with fewer delays.

Better playback across browsers and devices: The updated player is fully optimized for HTML5 and modern environments, offering more consistent performance whether learners are on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

Modern, customizable design: The refreshed interface includes a cleaner layout and flexible UI options to deliver a more intuitive, learner‑friendly experience.

| HLC: HEALTHSTREAM LEARNING CENTER |
Previously, HealthStream restricted the window for administrators and students to edit verified licenses and certifications in the HealthStream Learning Center (HLC). Licenses and certifications could only be edited within 30 days of the expiration date or if the expiration date has passed.
After careful consideration and valuable customer feedback, we have decided to expand the window to 90 days. Please note, this also affects HLC imports.
Going forward Verified HLC Licenses and Certifications can only be edited if:

The expiration date is within 90 days

The expiration date is in the past

We hope you are enjoying the redesigned Assignment Progress report that is now live in Insights!
With the release of the redesign, a 12-month transition period is starting on May 1, 2026 for assignment progress-related reports.
What is the 12-month transition period?
Once an Insights report is released, organizations have 12 months to transition from using the HealthStream Learning Center report(s) to the Insights report. After this 12-month period, the corresponding HLC report(s) will no longer be accessible to run from the HLC Reports page and existing scheduled reports will no longer run.
The following reports HealthStream Learning Center reports will be disabled on April 30, 2027:

Assignment Completion - Schedulable

Assignment Completion - Drill-Through
-
Delinquent/Past Due - Drill-Through
-
Delinquent/Past Due - Schedulable
-
Student Assignment Completion
-
Enterprise Assignment Completion
We encourage organizations to transition to the Insights report prior to the 12-month deprecation date to ensure users are comfortable with the new reporting.
Communication and reminders will be provided on a recurring basis, including on the HealthStream Learning Center Reports page, to keep you aware of the transition deadline. |
| An issue that prevented Insights reports from opening for non‑Insights users has been resolved. You can now include non‑Insights users as recipients of HLC‑based scheduled reports, as long as they are active HLC Administrators or Students. |
When a student account is inactivated with the reason Terminated, any associated supervisor will be automatically removed. This applies regardless of whether the inactivation occurs through system imports or directly via the user interface.
Supervisors will not be removed when a student account is marked inactive for the following reasons: This ensures supervisor relationships are preserved for temporary or pre‑employment statuses while maintaining accuracy for permanently terminated students. |
| Starting this month, you will be able to create Custom Reports that include Course Metadata. This dataset includes fields like: Course Name, Course Version, Course Description, Course Identifier, Course Owner, Publishing Status, Course Created By, Course Updated By, and many more. |
