The new Checklist Application has been in active development and is progressing steadily toward launch. This enhancement will improve how evaluators search for students and complete competencies, simplifying the process of validating multiple skills for multiple individuals. Key features will include the ability to validate multiple skills in a single workflow and complete checklists or skills validations on demand.
We’re planning a limited beta release with a small group of customers during summer with feedback informing any final refinements before full market release. We look forward to sharing more details as development progresses. |

We have released a new CE Unlimited dashboard available to HLC admins. This dashboard highlights how your staff engage with CE Unlimited — helping you track learning activity, certification prep usage, and top courses to gauge training impact and ROI. Please note, if you contract for CE Unlimited, the EBSCO course, Breast Cancer - 20-1236362 has been reversioned to include more relevant content to this topic. The previous version has therefore been expired to immediately provide this updated information. |
| If you contract for CE Unlimited, a new version of the course Behavioral Health: Borderline Personality Disorder is available as of February 20, 2026. The old version will retire on May 30, 2026, and any learners in progress with the old version will need to complete it by that date in order to earn CEs. |
We have received feedback regarding the Implicit Bias course and are taking proactive steps to address these concerns. As a result, this course will be temporarily removed from our CE offerings, including CE Unlimited and select B2P products such as the Unlimited CEU, Michigan RN License Renewal Package, and California RN License Renewal Package.
During this time, we are updating and enhancing the course to ensure it meets the highest quality and accreditation standards. The retirement date for this course will be May 16, 2026. The revised version is expected to be available on mid-late June, with renewed accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Following this release, we will also pursue reaccreditation through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

New Assessment Notification: This enhancement adds an email notification that will be sent to learners when a Jane Assessment is assigned to them. Immediate assignments will send an alert in near real-time. Assignments with future start dates will send an alert on the start date of the assignment.

The Nurse Residency Pathfinder has been redesigned to deliver a more actionable and clinically informed reporting experience.
Key updates include:

Updated navigation and filters: A left-hand sidebar with filters relocated to the top of the page for improved usability.

Redesigned stage tiles: Exact resident and cohort counts displayed alongside a completion donut chart for at-a-glance progress visibility.

Confidence trend view: Domain-level confidence scores across all four surveys presented in a single view with benchmark comparison.
Jane Assessment integration:
The Pathfinder now includes a Jane Assessment tab, bringing Knowledge Assessment and Clinical Judgment results directly into the dashboard for the first time. Educators can view first and best score comparisons, gaps against national benchmarks, score distribution by performance bucket, and a resident-level list for targeted outreach—all without leaving the platform.
Enhanced reporting views:

Progress to Completion: Updated to assignment-based tracking rather than cumulative totals, enabling true completion percentages and a student-level drill-down showing individual progress, scores, and in-program completion status.

Confidence: Preserves existing domain and demographic views and adds conditional formatting to flag scores ≤ 2.00 and declines from prior surveys.

Retention Rate: Now includes national benchmark comparison alongside 1-year and 2-year rates, plus a Retention Impact section quantifying nurses retained above benchmark and estimated cost savings.

| In April, we released a new Quality OB dashboard available to Quality OB administrators within the Insights application. This dashboard provides clear visibility into performance by benchmarking clinical knowledge and judgment, providing completion tracking, and helping to uncover actionable trends in obstetric risk to gauge training impact and ROI. Administrators will appreciate the enhanced user interface and ease of use with the quick ability to download and export data as needed. Here is a quick guide on how to access this new dashboard. The current Quality OB dashboard will continue to be available within the “reports” section of the HLC for approximately 6 months. |

Quality OB customers can expect the release of a new course this month designed to support California healthcare organizations in meeting the requirements of the California Dignity in Pregnancy and Childbirth Act. This legislation requires healthcare facilities to implement an evidence-based implicit bias training program for all perinatal care providers.
This accredited course addresses all ten requirements of the mandated perinatal implicit bias training and reinforces HealthStream’s commitment to delivering meaningful, regulatory‑driven value to our Quality OB customers.

We are expanding our HSO curriculum offerings assignable in the HLC, building on existing courseware and curriculum options available through our customizable Orientation Schedule Template. These curricula are developed by our HSO Think Tank and aligned to industry-leading guidelines and best practice recommendations to support evidence-based, competency-focused, and efficient orientation programs to support superlative patient care.
Orientation schedules are currently available within the customizable orientation schedule template for Circulators, Surgical Technologists, Scrub Persons, and First Assists, providing structured guidance for onboarding and role development.
Within the next week, full curricula for Circulating Nurses and Surgical Technologists will also be available in the HLC for assignment.
Additional curriculum recommendations will be released within the next month for First Assistants, PACU, Pre-Op, SPD, and HLD teams, and will be accessible both within Orientation Planning Templates and as assignable curricula in the HLC.
These curricula are recommended frameworks and remain fully flexible—organizations may adopt, modify, or continue using existing templates and approaches based on their specific needs.
